‘Frankston RSL’ Blues Senior Men continue their signings with Sydney Kings Development Player Lachlan Barker for the inaugural NBL1 season.

Barker is an exciting 22 year old guard who has spent the past four years playing for North West Tasmania in the SEABL, averaging 13 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.8 apg across 20 games in the 2018 season.

Head Coach Andrew Harms feels Barker can not only contribute to the program’s success but also reach his own potential.

“Lachie comes highly recommended from coaches we trust and we can’t wait to get him down to Frankston.

He has potential to be an elite scorer and creator in our league and really stretch the floor with his shooting range.

He has been with the Sydney Kings all season as a DP, going against the likes of Randle and Lisch daily, so we know he will be in super shape and full of confidence.”

Barker was eager to make the move and join the Blues.

“I’m excited to be a part of the Frankston Blues senior program and I’m looking forward to getting down there and getting started.

I chose to make the move to Frankston from North West Thunder for more opportunity and to grow my game.

I am keen to play under Andrew Harms and learn as much as I can from him.”

Blues Basketball Media’s Damian Arsenis will catch up with Lachie when he settles in to get his thoughts on the season to come and his time with the Sydney Kings.

Stay tuned for further player announcements over coming weeks.
