BLUES STRENGTHEN 2019 NBL1 CAMPAIGN WITH CORE24 HEALTH CLUBS

The Frankston Blues’ 2019 NBL1 campaign has been strengthened with the support of Core24 Health Clubs.

Offering a range of personal training, group fitness, weight loss and swimming lessons across four locations including Frankston, Seaford, Carrum Downs, Mount Martha and Mornington, Core24 is the leading group of health and fitness clubs on the Mornington Peninsula, becoming a major sponsor of the Frankston Blues program.

One half of the Blues strength and conditioning team, Jason Davies explained that he was excited by the prospect of the playing group being able to utilise the first class facilities and equipment provided by Core24.

“The addition of Core24 to the Frankston Blues creates an outstanding opportunity to expand upon the club’s strength and conditioning programs that the club began to implement last season,” explained Davies.

“Jay [Ellis] and I are now in our second year with Frankston and our goal is to assist the senior men’s and women’s teams, along with the youth league teams, to be physically prepared for the season ahead. Through this partnership with Core24, it provides the players with a fantastic venue to prepare and train, complete recovery sessions, and support those players who may be returning from injury.

“Frankston’s expansion of services to assist players in every part of their training is something that continues to grow and evolve. Some of the older junior teams now are being exposed to some of these additional programs, opening the door to create the right pathways for long term development.

“Jay and I worked closely with Andrew Harms and the men last year, and we are now assisting Jess and the women’s team as well. We look forward to providing the icing on the cake to assist Frankston in performing at their best in the inaugural NBL1 season.”

Blues Chairman Chris Beattie was thankful for Core24’s support of the Frankston Blues program, and had been impressed by their quality facilities.

“Core24 have established the trust and respect of the community in offering a range of quality health and fitness services in very accessible locations,” said Beattie.

“Joining forces with an organisation that can both support our objectives of being successful on and off the court makes it almost a perfect match. Our players will benefit from their excellent facilities, and we look forward to a long and rewarding partnership with the best health and fitness chain on the Mornington Pensinula.”
