Washington State women’s basketball head coach Kamie Ethridge has announced the signing of Frankston Blues Junior Emma Nankervis to a NCAA National Letter of Intent.

“I am excited to announce the signing of Emma Nankervis as a Coug,” said Ethridge. “Emma meets so many needs for our program. She has size, length, athleticism, mobility, a great IQ for the game, and a GREAT motor. She brings competitiveness, intensity and energy every time she steps on the court. Due to her work ethic and commitment to improve, she will flourish in our gym. Emma is a great fit for our high achieving and high character culture. Coug Nation get ready, you are going to love how hard Emma plays and competes!!”

Nankervis has spent most of 2019 playing for the Nunawading Spectres in the National Basketball League. Prior to moving up to the Spectres, the young Aussie played as a junior, then seniors for the Frankston Blues in the South East Australian Basketball League from 2015-18 where she was named the team’s most improved player in her final season. In addition to her club play, Nankervis has represented the state of Victoria since 2014, playing throughout different ranks of the Victoria Metropolitan team. Her play as part of Basketball Victoria has also earned her invites to Australian Development Camps.
