Frankston have defeated Dandenong 94-82 to maintain touching distance with the top 4.

The two sides went basket for basket in the opening term, with scores level at the first break.

The game continued to go back and forth in a close contest which saw both teams work tirelessly to take and retake the lead.

After a tight first half that saw Frankston leading by just one at the main break, the Blues flexed their muscle in the third period to open up a 10-point lead.

Despite this, five Rangers scored in the double figures, with Matt Kenyon leading the way with 19 points.

Not far behind was teammate Deng Puoch who recorded 17 of his own along side six rebounds and two steals.

Lachlan Barker was influential in securing the win for Frankston, adding 23 points to the scoreboard and finishing with nine rebounds and five steals.

Dan Trist also impressed for the Blues, recording 18 points, six boards and three assists, as Frankston cruised home to walk away with a 12-point win.
