The Albury Wodonga Bandits have secured their ninth win of the season after defeating the Frankston Blues by 22-points (98-76).

An evenly matched first half saw both teams unable to push the margin out by more than 10-points. The Bandits led by four points (45-41) at half time.

Albury’s Jessie Edwards took it on herself to stretch the margin in the third, scoring 17 of the teams 27-points for the quarter. This gave the Bandits a solid 13-point lead with the final term in sight.

The Bandits ran away with the game in the fourth quarter continuing to extend their lead to 25-points with one minute remaining. The Blues added a quick three points to reduce the final margin back down to 22-points but it was too late.

The Bandits starting five all scored in double digits with Edwards top scoring with 34-points shooting at an extraordinary 88 per cent from the field (15/17).

Albury are looking to add to their three game winning streak when they take on the Eltham Wildcats next round.
