Dallas Mavericks wing Ryan Broekhoff will be on the roster for the 2019-2020 season after the team guaranteed his contract on June 29.

The Dallas Mavericks are going to be active in the coming days. The team is looking to fill its roster for the 2019-2020 season. They are expected to offer Kristaps Porzingis a five-year max deal. The Mavs will also be looking to improve by adding players on the open market.

The Mavericks had an option to retain Ryan Broekhoff for the coming season. The guarantee date passed on June 29.

Broekhoff will be entering his second NBA season. He played in 42 games as a rookie and averaged 10.8 minutes per game. Broekhoff is a sharpshooter that hit 40.9 percent of his 3-pointers last season.

He will again be an end of the bench option in 2019-2020. The Mavs figure to have plenty of wing options for Coach Carlisle’s rotation. Broekhoff turns 29 in August. Expect him to continue to be one of the Mavericks best 3-point shooters, but he does not figure to play a massive role.

Ryan Broekhoff’s contract did eat into the Dallas Mavericks cap space slightly. The front office appears set to target multiple rotation players. That could mean the Mavs slow play the market in order to get some savings as other team’s use their cap space. The next few weeks should feature plenty of excitement for Mavericks supporters.
