Frankston Blues NBL1 License extended

Frankston Blues are proud to announce that their license to Basketball Victoria’s NBL1 competition has been extended through to 2020.

With the 2019 NBL1 Finals under way and the ‘Frankston RSL’ Blues Men ready for their home Preliminary Final on Saturday the 10th of August, local basketball fans couldn’t be happier.

FDBA General Manager, Wayne Holdsworth spoke about the license extension.

“While the Senior Programs have been working hard on the court, we are proud of the work achieved in collaboration with Basketball Victoria, off the court to ensure we put on a spectacular game night experience.”

“Last Saturday night’s sell-out crowd reached a new high for the season and we only expect bigger and better in the future”

NBL1 General Manager, Dean Anglin spoke about the league and Frankston’s progress in 2019.

“There has been an enormous amount of work done with the Foundation Licence holders in 2019 to deliver the product at the level we want, Frankston showed exactly how far they have come last Saturday night when they packed out Frankston Basketball Stadium with 1100 screaming fans.”

“We look forward to the club building on an outstanding season in 2020.”

The Frankston Blues will play their last home game for the 2019 NBL1 season against a still to be determined opponent on Saturday 10th August, 7:30 PM tip-off.
